No. This first shower can only be with water. Make sure to push the water all over your skin to avoid the dreaded ‘drip marks’.
Your next soapy shower can be 8 hours after the tan application.

No. Please wait until your tan has fully developed- atleast 8 hours and preferrably after your soapy shower.
Same goes with applying deodorant, perfume and body spray.
To avoid your sweat turning your tan green you’ll need to wait until you’ve had your first soapy shower. We only want the best from your tan so take a day off from working out- you’ve earned it!
Never fear! The colour you can see now is just cosmetic, this colour helps us see where we’ve spray you. The real colour is yet to develop and will work with your existing skin colour.
Sweat + freshly applied tan is not a good mix.
The sweat on your skin can change your skin’s pH removing the cosmetic colour red (our tan is made up of red, violet and green). Never fear, this is temporary and will come off after a few soapy showers.
Our spray tan solution is replenished monthly and so the tan that has been applied is not old or oxidised.
The dreaded leopard spots! Thankfully these look worse than they really are but if you can come back in we will be able to lightly spray and ‘smudge’ the affected spots.
Alternatively gentle wipe the affected skin with your hands to smooth it out.
Remember, the real colour is clear and has already started activating so chance are this will still look perfect.
Long loose and breathable clothing is best. This way you’ll avoid skin on skin contact (which can cause tan transfer and white patches).
Depending on how well you exfoliated prior to your tan and how quickly your cells turn over you can expect 5-7 days from your spray tan. To extend the life of your spray tan, use a Tan Extender that has a gradual tan to slowly build up your colour, whilst your spray tan fades.
Not to worry! Changes in the pH of your skin is what causes this green colour to appear. When we sweat it shifts the colour of the bronzer making the red inactive, leaving you with blue and yellow = green. Some skins don’t even need to sweat to have this reaction.
This can also be caused by residual deodorant, perfume, body lotions or using a tan eraser too close to getting a spray tan. These products are very high in pH!
When you shower, only about 80% of the bronzers wash off which is why you still look green after your shower.
By your second or third soapy shower, all the bronzer will have washed off and the green will go away.
If you have had an Express 30 min or 2hr tan this is completely normal! The colour you have rinsed off is just a cosmetic guide for us to apply an even tan. The real colour is clear and is currently mingling with your skin cells that will eventually be at their peak colour in 8-12 hours.
Trust the process.
*If it has been over 12 hours since your tan and there is still no colour then let us know, we’ll need to respray you.
Dry skin tends to grab onto the cosmetic colour in the tan so when you rinse it can look like you have dark patches. If this is the case you need to use more soap (for Express formulas please wait until your soapy shower to do this).
In some of our formulas we have a hydrating oil component which can appear like white dots on your skin. Never fear, these areas will still tan, they just look untanned because there is no cosmetic bronzer on that area. Remember, the active component of your tan is clear and hasn’t developed, the brown colour will wash off.
White lines have appeared? This could be from clothing brushing across the skin, a seat belt or something wiping across your skin while your tan is still ‘wet’ (it’s still slightly wet/sticky for an hour or so so these marks show up easily. We recommend not touching them however you can lightly smudge them with your finger to smooth the bronzer out.
